Summit Academy: Project Director 




 Summit Academy Open Position: Project Director

Summit Academy Project Director  – Full time, begins ASAP. Position open until filled. Salary based on experience (competitive with school administrator pay).

The Project Director works closely with the Principal and Board of Directors of Summit Middle School to plan and implement the development of the new high school, Summit Academy. The Project Director is responsible for overseeing facilities development, budget, personnel, project management, leadership, regulatory compliance, community support, fundraising, and promotion of the vision of Summit Academy.


The elements listed below are representative of the knowledge and abilities needed for this position:


  • Innovative and entrepreneurial leadership experience with advanced project management skills

  • Community relations expertise with experience in marketing and communications

  • A wide range of finance and budgeting experience in areas such as property acquisition, construction projects, purchasing, and school budgeting  

  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and equity; skilled at fostering inclusive organizations

  • Strong collaboration, team-based communication, coordination and organizational skills

  • Three the five years of successful, leadership based job experience

  • MA in a related field or comparable experience


There will be a separate hiring process for the Summit Academy principal at the appropriate time in the future. If the project director is interested in this position, they would need to apply at that time.


Summit Academy will be an innovative new charter high school serving grades 9-12. Summit Academy students discover and enact their passions in a small, caring school setting infused with purposeful, relevant learning, and authentic creation. Students are empowered to become change-makers, idea-creators, and socially-responsible ambassadors to their future world.
