I will be joining Summit as the new Dean of Students. I grew up in Littleton, Colorado with two older brothers and an older sister. I attended private school Kindergarten through high school. I went to St. Mary’s of Littleton for 8 years and graduated from Mullen High School in 1996. I was recruited to play basketball at Skyline Junior College in San Bruno, California. After one year, I realized I should be a basketball coach instead of playing. I transferred to the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) located in Greeley and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Physical Education (PE). After teaching PE for 10 years I decided to go back to school and get my Masters in Educational Leadership. I received my MA from UNC in 2011 and was an Assistant Principal/Athletic Director for 4 years. I left education in 2015 and was an Assistant manager at Dicks Sporting Goods in Thornton.
I have an amazing family that I love to spend time with daily. My wife, Robin, is a 5th grade teacher at Creekside Elementary and I have two little girls which I adore. In my off time I like to work out in the mornings, read books and meditate. I believe in the power of education and believe that students at Summit will be the next great leaders in our world.
