My name is Jennifer Perlick and I am thrilled to be teaching 7th grade Western Hemisphere Adventures! I have taught for 14 years in both public and private school settings. For ten of those years I taught Eastern & Western Hemisphere Studies and U.S. History at the middle school level. I have significant experience as a cross-cultural/wilderness instructor leading high school students in experiential education programs, traveling in Mexico, Belize, Washington State, the Native American Southwest, and throughout Colorado. I have also spent time exploring Canada, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Central and South America. In the summer of 2016 I spent four weeks traveling in Peru and the Galapagos. I can't wait to share my Inca Trail trek photos with all of you! I completed my undergraduate work at Cornell University in New York and earned my Masters Degree in Education at the University of Denver. While I hail from Cleveland, Ohio, I have enjoyed being part of the Boulder community for over 25 years. I like to spend as much time as possible in the outdoors, and I love living in the mountains just above Boulder with my husband and two daughters. I am very excited to be in my fourth year as a member of the Summit community and look forward to working with and getting to know each of my students, parents and faculty. I truly hope the kiddos will have fun, be challenged and get everything they want out of Western Hemisphere Adventures! Welcome!
