CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES 

Teacher - Special Education & Academic Support Teacher Maternity Leave, Middle School
Part time to full time, begins Monday March 11, 2024 ends May 24, 2024  The teacher is a specialist responsible for educating each student in their charge and working with students, parents, teachers and staff toward achieving the goals set forth in the Summit mission. The teacher is supervised and evaluated by the principal. 
 
Compensation: Daily $150 - $165 
 
The elements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed for this position:
 
  • Manage Summit’s student learning plans (IEPs), providing instruction, communication, goal setting and progress monitoring as required
  • Manage the academic learning center, including building strong learning relationships with students demonstrating a wide range of abilities 
  • Provide input for student academic support meetings
  • Work closely with the administrative team and school psychologist on student plans
  • Work closely with teachers on student plans and accommodations
  • BA/BS in a related field, teaching certificate and/or special education endorsement is a plus
